Location: Virtual Event - Zoom

Date: Wednesday, Jan 6

Time: 1300 ET

Cost: Free

Details: Do you want to excel at solving complex, human centered design challenges? Of course you do! Meet Karen Hold, leader of Design Thinking DC and author of the upcoming book, "Experiencing Design: The Innovator's Journey" as she describes the latest iteration of "Season of Design" (Winter) and how you can get involved in Design Thinking.

The basics: Winter of Design is part immersive learning challenge and part innovation competition. It is a vital experience in the design thinking community to equip innovators with the skills, mindsets and behaviors they need to make positive change in their organizations. As a Winter of Designer, you will grow your creative capacity, learn new tools to jump-start innovation and collaborate with fellow design thinkers and innovators to make our world a better place.

Every year we collaborate with an All-Star line-up of community partners which includes weekly skills-based workshops facilitated by Karen Hold, Director - DT:DC; access to weekly instructional videos provided by the University of Virginia Darden School Foundation, curated by Jeanne Liedtka, co-author of Designing for Growth, and professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business; an online community for learning and engagement; mentorship from expert design thinking mentors and a Statement of Accomplishment from the University of Virginia Darden School Foundation.
