Dr. Kori Schake is the director of foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). Prior to her time at AEI, Dr. Schake distinguished herself in the US Federal Government, working at the US State Department, the US Department of Defense, and the National Security Council at the White House. She has written five books, exploring American hegemony among other topics, and is a frequent contributor to the top publications of the day, including: The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Foreign Affairs.
In this conversation, #NatSecGirlSquad’s own Maggie Feldman-Pitch will talk to Dr. Schake about what it means to think and act strategically from a policy and planning perspective. Included will be a discussion about the spectrum of relationship to knowledge, from people who want to create ideas to the people who want to implement those ideas.
