Type: Open, Zoom Meeting.
Details: This interactive, non-technical presentation explores two different approaches to solving hard problems, using NASA’s robotic missions to Mars as examples. We’ll start with a quick overview of the Viking missions from the 1970’s, then compare it with the iterative series of low-cost robotic rovers NASA launched from the 1990’s through today. The principles and practices drawn from these stories are hugely relevant to any difficult set of challenges, and can help inform our decision-making, problem solving, work shaping, design, and collaboration efforts.
